Xtreme Wetline Gel – Professional Hold Hair Styling Gel
We formulated Xtreme Wetline Gel for stylists and consumers who demand professional-grade hold without compromise. Our signature gel delivers maximum control and high-gloss shine that lasts all day, whether you're sculpting spikes, defining curls, or slicking back a classic look.
The thick, concentrated formula activates on contact with damp or dry hair. It won't flake, chip, or leave white residue even when you apply multiple layers. We use a water-soluble polymer blend that holds firm through humidity, wind, and long shifts, yet rinses clean with warm water at the end of the day.
- Maximum hold strength – locks styles in place for 12+ hours
- High-gloss finish with no flaking or white residue
- Works on all hair types, textures, and lengths
- Water-soluble formula rinses clean without buildup
- Concentrated gel – a little product goes a long way
How to apply for different styles

For slick-back and pompadour styles, we recommend applying a quarter-size amount to damp hair, working from roots to ends with a fine-tooth comb. The gel sets as it dries, so shape your style within the first two minutes for maximum precision.
Curly and textured hair users get the best definition by scrunching the gel into wet hair in sections. Let your curls air-dry or use a diffuser on low heat. The polymer network holds each curl’s shape without the crunchy feel that ruins softer curl patterns.
Ingredients & formula technology

Polymer blend for hold
We built Xtreme Wetline Gel around a three-polymer system: PVP for initial tack, VP/VA copolymer for humidity resistance, and carbomer for viscosity. This combination creates a flexible film that moves with your hair instead of cracking like older acrylic-only gels.
Conditioning agents
Glycerin and panthenol sit in the formula to prevent the drying effect some maximum-hold products cause. Your hair stays hydrated under the styling film, which matters during repeated daily use. We also include a UV filter to protect color-treated hair from sun fade while the gel is worn.
Professional salon use

Stylists stock Xtreme Wetline Gel because the same jar handles every client who walks through the door. Thick, coarse hair that defeats lightweight gels responds to our concentrated formula without needing double or triple applications. Fine hair users avoid the weighing-down problem because you only need a pea-size amount for full coverage.
The clear gel consistency lets you see exactly where product has been applied, which speeds up precision work on fades, edge control, and detailed designs. It doesn’t interfere with clipper blades or cause gumming on combs and brushes during the styling process.

Common questions about Xtreme Wetline Gel
For short to medium-length hair, start with a quarter-size amount on damp hair or a dime-size amount on dry hair. The gel is highly concentrated, so you'll use less than you would with standard formulas. You can always add more if needed, but it's harder to remove excess once applied.
Longer or thicker hair may need a half-dollar-size amount, applied in sections for even distribution. We recommend working the gel through one section at a time rather than applying all the product at once.
Our formula is safe for daily use on all hair types, including color-treated and chemically processed hair. The water-soluble polymer base rinses completely clean, so you won't get the buildup that causes long-term damage.
We include glycerin and panthenol to maintain moisture balance under the styling film. If you use the gel every day, pair it with a moisturizing conditioner two to three times per week to keep your hair hydrated.
Yes, Xtreme Wetline Gel works on all natural hair textures from 3A curls to 4C coils. For curl definition, apply it to soaking-wet hair in sections and scrunch as it dries. For sleeker styles on textured hair, apply to damp hair and use a comb or brush to distribute evenly.
The formula doesn't cause the white cast or flaking that many gels produce on textured hair. It holds curl patterns in place without creating stiffness or crunch.
Rinse with warm water and use your regular shampoo. The water-soluble polymers break down immediately when they contact warm water, so the gel releases from your hair without heavy scrubbing. One shampoo wash is enough—you don't need clarifying formulas or multiple rinses.
If you prefer, you can rinse with water only and skip shampoo. The gel will still come out completely, though shampoo helps if you've used a lot of product or layered multiple applications.
Xtreme Wetline Gel sets firm once dry, so it's designed to lock your style in place rather than allow restyling. If you need to reshape your hair after the gel has dried, dampen your hands or mist your hair lightly with water, then rework the style.
For styles you plan to change throughout the day, we recommend our Xtreme Flexible Hold Gel instead. It offers medium hold with more moldability after drying.
Both sizes contain the exact same formula. The 8.25 oz jar is our retail size, designed for personal use and easy portability. The 35.26 oz jar is our professional backbar size, used by salons and stylists who go through larger quantities.
Per-ounce cost is lower on the large size, so clients who use the gel daily often prefer the 35.26 oz jar for home use. Both jars have wide mouths that accommodate fingers or spatulas for dispensing.
The gel is humidity-resistant and holds through sweat, but it's not waterproof. It will hold your style through rain, humid weather, and perspiration from exercise or outdoor work. However, swimming or full submersion in water will break down the polymer film and release the hold.
If you need your style to survive swimming, you'll need to reapply after getting out of the water. For everyday weather and activity, the gel stays locked in place until you intentionally rinse it out.
